KP Series

Hero Background

The KP Series clamps are fibreglass-reinforced polyamide (non-metallic, UV-protected, self-extinguishing, low-smoke/zero-halogen) clamps intended for trefoil (three-cable) formation of single- or multi-core cables, for indoor or outdoor use — even in extreme climates (deserts, coastal salt fogs, arctic, etc.).

They accommodate cables with outer diameters between 26 mm and 64 mm.  The clamps are rated for a dynamic short-circuit force resistance of 25,000 N, making them suitable for installations where high fault-current events may occur (e.g. HV/MV power cables, wind-turbine shafts, substations).

Temperature rating: from –60 °C (ambient) to +120 °C continuous, with short-term tolerance up to 220 °C; expected lifespan over 45 years without maintenance or failure.  The polyamide material has tensile strength ~ 120 N/mm² and flexural strength ~ 210 N/mm².

Installation tightening torques: typically 8 Nm for the top part and 15 Nm for the bottom part of the clamp.
