KR Series

Hero Background

The KR Series clamps are heavy-duty, fibreglass-reinforced polyamide clamps designed for fastening large single- or multi-core cables (indoors or outdoors) under very high stress conditions.  They support cables with outer diameters ranging from 70 mm up to 250 mm.  The clamps deliver a dynamic resistance to short-circuit forces of 30,000 N, ensuring safe restraint even under high fault-current events or multiple short circuits.

Built from non-metallic, UV-resistant, flame-retardant, low-smoke, zero-halogen polyamide, KR clamps resist extreme environments: UV exposure, ozone, oils, fuels, salts, alkalis, solvents, and even harsh climatic conditions (desert, coastal, arctic, etc.).  They are rated for continuous operation between –60 °C and +120 °C, with short-term tolerance up to +220 °C

Installation is fairly straightforward — recommended tightening torque is 8 Nm (top part) and 20 Nm (bottom part).  For cables subject to diameter changes, vibration or vertical installation, optional elastic inlays can be used: they cushion and secure cables, absorb vibration and compensate for diameter variations, also extending the clamping range.
