VR3 Series

The VR3 Series is part of id-Technik’s modular “VR” block-clamp family — made from high-grade fibreglass-reinforced polyamide (non-metallic, UV-resistant, self-extinguishing, low-smoke, zero-halogen) — designed for flexible, stacked or parallel fastening of single- and multi-core cables indoors or outdoors.  It supports cable outer diameters from 12 mm up to 45 mm.  The clamps are rated for a dynamic short-circuit force resistance of 10,000 N and provide an axial retention of 400 N. 

The VR3 material is certified under IEC 61914 and meets flame-resistance standards (UL94 5VA / V-0) and low-smoke/zero-halogen classification (S3 under DIN 5510); tensile strength is ~ 120 N/mm², flexural strength ~ 210 N/mm².  It reliably handles ambient temperatures down to –60 °C, continuous operation up to +120 °C, and short-term heating up to +220 °C, with a service life exceeding 45 years. 

Because of the modular dovetail-style design, VR3 clamps can be stacked or lined up in custom configurations, making them ideal for installations involving multiple cables — even with different diameters across vertical levels (provided each level has cables of the same diameter) — which is useful for compact cable arrangements or complex routing.
